What are Purple Heart Awards?
Purple Heart Awards are awards that are issued by the Best Friends' Veterinary Hospital to animals who have fought the good fight against an ailing disease or medical condition.

Peanut

Thai
This brave Canine is fighting Congestive Heart Failure, Lyme Disease, Hyperthyroidism, along with Liver Disease.

Pig
This brave Guinea Pig has been fighting Bumble Foot, Chronic Allergies, Along with a previous Mite Infestation.

Kathy
Kathy is a courageous K9 that is fighting Cushings Disease and Congestive Heart failure. She has also dealt with Mammary Tumors as well.

Lucky
This is a brave Maltese named Lucky who is over 10 years old. He is fighting a number illnesses including Cardiac disease, Cushing’s disease, Hepatitis, Kidney disease, and low Thyroid.

Dora
Dora is a hairless rat who is almost ready to celebrate her second birthday! She has been one of our best patients over the years and has exemplified bravery time and time again! Dora has heroically been battling Lymphoma and is on chemotherapy.

Kitty Tannebaum
This brave rat has survived several surgeries to fight the spread of a Fibrosarcoma on her neck and chin.
